Effective date: September 5, 2026
This policy explains how Thessalonika Family Services, Inc., DBA Mission Hope ("Mission Hope," "we," "us") sends text messages through Sunny, and how we handle mobile phone numbers. Sunny is Mission Hope's program platform: staff and volunteers use it to manage client records, food pantry check-ins, and volunteer scheduling, and members of the public use it to apply for assistance, check in for services, and receive resource information.
We collect the mobile phone number you provide when you agree to receive text messages, and use it only to send you the messages described in this policy.
When you or a Mission Hope staff member chooses to send or receive text messages through Sunny, you may receive messages such as:
Message frequency varies based on your interactions with Mission Hope and Sunny — for example, you'll receive a text when a staff member sends you a resource link, when you request a password reset code, or when a check-in code is (re)sent to you. We do not send recurring or scheduled marketing texts. Message frequency may vary.
Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier and plan.
We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your number is used only to deliver the messages described above and is stored as part of your Mission Hope record, protected the same way as the rest of your information in Sunny.
You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive, or by telling a Mission Hope staff member. If you opt out, we won't be able to text you a password reset code, resource links, or check-in codes — you can still reach Mission Hope and use those features by email or phone. For help, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at missionhopesunny@gmail.com.
By providing your mobile number and agreeing to this policy, you consent to receive the text messages described above from Mission Hope. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of receiving services from Mission Hope.
We use double opt-in. After you agree, we send you one text: "Mission Hope: Reply YES to confirm you want texts about your services (check-in codes, resource links). Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out." We send no other texts until you reply YES. If you don't reply within 30 days, the request expires and we will not text you. Every confirmation, opt-out, and the date and time it happened is recorded on your Mission Hope file.
To see exactly how and when we collect that consent — the online opt-in checkbox, the script staff read aloud, and sample messages — visit How Mission Hope collects consent for text messages.
